Plaza Del Mar Phuket
Website Redesign

Phuket Commercial Property Website Design
Plaza Del Mar has been one of Phuket’s most recognisable commercial addresses since 2005. Located at the entrance to Laguna, the development’s Sino-Portuguese architecture makes a strong first impression — the kind of physical presence that speaks for itself.
The original website, built when the development first launched, had served its purpose. But by 2019, user expectations had shifted, mobile usage had changed how people research commercial property, and the site no longer reflected the quality of what it was representing.
This wasn’t a case of a struggling business needing to reinvent itself. Plaza Del Mar had a strong reputation and a long list of well-known tenants.
The problem was simpler: the website wasn’t keeping pace with the building.
The website redesign had two practical objectives. First, to bring the presentation in line with the quality of the development — a site that matched the impression the building itself creates. Second, to improve the mechanics of how prospective tenants engaged with the business.
Previously, enquiries about available units meant emailing photographs and unit details directly to interested parties. It was time-consuming for management and created a cumbersome experience for prospective tenants. The site needed to solve this.

The redesign focused on two things: presentation and practicality.
On the presentation side, the goal was straightforward — a site that felt as professional as the building itself. The “Make Work Better” positioning gave the site a coherent message that went beyond listing available square meterage. It communicated something closer to the experience of being based there: the location, the environment, the facilities, and the kind of tenants the development attracts.
On the practical side, the original process for handling enquiries about available units involved emailing photographs and unit details individually. A custom availability management system replaced this — management can update unit status in real time, so prospective tenants see accurate availability without a back-and-forth. Separate enquiry routes were created for general interest and active rental enquiries.
When a unit becomes available, prospective tenants receive a digital rental pack that matches the visual language of the website. Each pack covers everything a prospective tenant needs to make a decision — unit size, floor plan, pricing, photography, location, and rental terms — presented as a single, professional PDF. It removes the need for multiple emails and gives the enquiry process the same level of presentation as the site itself.
The website has been actively managed and kept current since launch.
Plaza Del Mar’s website now reflects the reputation of the development. Prospective tenants can self-qualify against available units before making contact, which improves the quality of enquiries that reach management.
The project is a good example of how a website can function as an operational tool rather than just a promotional one — reducing administrative overhead while improving the experience for prospective tenants.
