1. Initial Conversation and Consultation
Our first step in the web design process is to have a candid conversation about your needs and goals. This can be done through a simple call or in-person meeting to know your business and to answer any questions you may have.
During this initial consultation, we can also review different styles of websites, such as our small local business webistes , premium national/global websites, or e-commerce style sites and how they will integrate into your business. Plus any additional services you may require like brand design, or help with strategy or content writing.
2. Website Design Brief
Complete our simple website design briefing form that covers the essential details needed to do our job effectively. The website brief takes about 20-25 minutes to complete. We have a help section to help you get the most out of it or we can arrange to walk through it together.
3. Proposal Stage
Based on the information provided in the design brief, we will create a tailored proposal outlining the project requirements, scope, and timeline. The proposal will include 2-3 design and functionality options for your consideration, allowing you to choose the approach that best aligns with your vision and goals.
4. Project Activation
Once you are ready to move forward with your project, we require an initial payment of 50% to begin work.
5. Website Planning
In the next stage of the web design process, we will schedule a website planning meeting to discuss the design, structure, and content of your website. During this meeting, we will work with you to identify your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)—the magic that makes your business unique and why customers will choose you over your competition. We will also plan the layout, colours, imagery, fonts, structure, navigation, and functionality of your site to ensure it reflects your UVP and resonates with your target audience.
6. Final Content Submission
Following the website planning meeting, if we are not creating the content on your behalf, you will provide the final approved content for your website, including branding, imagery, website copy, and product details. This ensures we can fully develop your website, bringing your vision to life while accurately showcasing your business and its goals.
