What Is Beauty By Bow Salon
Beauty by Bow is Phuket’s newest Beauty Salon located in Cherngtalay, Thalang. Owned and operated by Arujira Pookan, better known as “Bow”. A completely refurbished salon fitted with the best quality equipment available.
What Was Required
After completing a responsive website development project for the Phuket salon. They asked us to help with their existing marketing collateral; business cards and promotional flyers designed to be distributed around local businesses and handed out in and around the Cherngtalay area.
They had already paid for cards and leaflets, but they were hard to read, printed on low-quality paper stock, and were also missing some rather essential pieces of business information. Most notably the old flyers were missing the location of the business.
- Having recently designed the website, we were asked to produce a NEW promotional flyer that could be distributed around local hotels and businesses within the salon’s catchment area.
- We were also asked to design and print new business cards for the salon.
What We Did
While developing the salon website design we wanted to portray a more European style salon to help differentiate it from the Thai hair salons in the area. It was important that any new marketing collateral we created would reflect a consistent style, branding, and quality of the salon. It didn’t take long before we had several choices of business cards to choose from.
The flyer was slightly different, instead of A4 we halved the size to A5. The purpose of the flyer was to introduce the salon, so using a mixture of photos we had from the website and some recent shots we’d taken of the salon we concentrated on communicating the main points.

The End Result
We succeeded in matching the European-style salon through the flyers and cards and because we recommended the client reduce the flyer size from A4 to A5 we made the distribution process more convenient and we reduced the print production costs even though we improved the quality of the flyer paper.
In the end, the owners couldn’t choose between two of the business card designs that we presented so they decided to use them both.
We suggested that they use one set for standard business cards and the other style for a loyalty system. We adapted one of the cards into a loyalty card and made a custom stamp to stamp the rear of the cards.
