Having already work on several marketing and sales documents for this project, each having very specific uses. The brochure’s function was a little more open. It’s not going to be their main property brochure, given to prospective buyers. This was to be a more cost-effective version. Something they could distribute to sales teams and hand out at shows and trade fairs etc.
Specs: 22cm square 8 panel brochure.
They also required a PDF version that they could use as a lead magnet for their responsive website.
First, we focused on the message. To highlight the project’s UVP (unique value proposition) and introduce the core concept behind the development.
Once we’d confirmed the message, we played around with a few concepts which defined the final brochure fold format.
Without a clear objective for the brochure, we still needed to prompt the user to take action in some way. As the client already wanted a downloadable version of the brochure for their website. We came up with the idea to make an extended digital brochure that could sign up to download. This gave the brochure a S.M.A.R.T. objective.
We reduced the amount of written content provided. Keeping only the essential details encourages the reader to seek out more information.
We transformed the 8-panel brochure into a 14-page extended digital download. Yes, we added an extra 6 pages. Plus we converted the original wide format to individual vertical pages. This would be easier to view on mobile devices.
Despite a few last-minute setbacks with image changes. The closed gate fold leaflet still delivers the multi-stage reveals that we were aiming for. Highlighting the unique Luxury Living Next to Nature concept that makes the Meliá Phuket Karon Residences so special.
Our extended digital brochure idea added more work to the project but it was worth it. But if you’re going to do something – you might as well do it right! (To see a copy of the extended brochure you’ll have to visit the Meliá Phuket website…)
